Laguna Stream Restoration at Vulcan Materials

Laguna stream restoration at Vulcan Materials project site

Hanford created a new flow pathway for Laguna Stream which runs just east of the active quarry. The old stream foot print was filled in and a new floodplain was graded. The new stream channel included installation of low flow channel berms that were seeded and secured with erosion control fabric. The site was seeded and and planted with container plants supported with a new irrigation system.
