TMP210 Topographical Restoration AT Millerton NPS Parcel

Prior to work, at least seven (7) existing rock bollards located at the road entrance to the project site would need to be moved temporarily to one side and later replaced (Figure 3), and untrenched, stapled silt fencing will need to be installed at the southern end of the site closest to Tomales Bay (Figure 3). Salvaged soils would be rough graded across the former railroad bed area to an approximate equal depth estimated to be 2.25 feet, with variation in depth limited +/- 0.25 feet. Rough grading should ensure that there are no depressional areas to encourage ponding and slightly slope downwards (<2% grade) to the north to allow waters to sheetflow across the project site. A small erosional area on the east side of the former railroad bed cut would also be repaired, and erosion control blanket that meets approved Seashore specifications would be installed (Figure 3). Tree removal prior to grading to happen.
